What is ABA?
Applied Behavior Analysis, often referred to as ABA, is a science based on the principles of behavior. ABA applies our understanding of how behavior works to real situations by identifying why the behavior is occurring, how the environment affects the behavior, strategies to teach appropriate behaviors, and reduce challenging behaviors.
At Heartfelt Solutions, we strive to incorporate the principles of ABA and the positive teaching model it encompasses in every service we provide. We use a person centered service model with an emphasis on teaching independent living, social, and functional skills that are unique to the individual. Our model includes ABA techniques for training caregivers, data collection and direct implementation across a variety of environments.
